Samagra Jan Kalyan Samiti is non-profit community based organization under the society registration act 21, 1860 wide regd no- . Since the registration organization undertake initiatives based on Clean Technology and Eco-friendly alternatives with a view to improve the lives of the poor, underprivileged and marginalized community through a people-centered approach focusing on their close involvement in economic, social, and cultural process that effect their lives. The organization is equipped with a group of professionally qualified individuals from different fields, having strong compassion and commitment to serve the people irrespective of any caste, religion, languages specially the ones who are deprived and marginalized. Since its inception SJKS promotes participatory research and grassroots innovations. The organization believes that every human being has inalienable rights, guaranteed by the constitution and the International covenants. However due to a variety of circumstances many women, children, the elderly, the sick, the disabled and other vulnerable sections are denied opportunities for growth and social advancement. SJKS visualize itself as initiatives of People for promoting these sections’ rights’ without discriminations.

Mission

To organize the community, educate and empower them, develop art and skill for better and sustainable livelihood, develop eco-friendly culture and good health by promoting traditional techniques & measures and dissemination of innovative technology.

 

Our Approach

  • To participate actively, directly or indirectly in the process of development in partnership with marginalized communities, voluntary organizations and others.
  • To implement the programs and services for the target groups in order to enable them to have access to the basic amenities and rights.
  • To follow the bottom-up planning and bottom-up development approach.
  • Building strong linkages with government, national and international organizations.
  • To follow the integrated and multi-disciplinary approach.
  • To implement the initiatives through people centered approach.

  • Victims of natural and manmade disasters.
  • Workers of the un-organized sector.

Geographical Area of Interventions –

The organization is actively working in the District-Kanpur, Varanasi, Sonebhadra, Gorakhpur, Gonda in state of Uttar Pradesh. The focus of our interventions have been in the area of Skill enhancement through training and demonstration of technology, Sustainable Livelihood, Land Development, Agriculture, Environment conservation, Women Empowerment and Health related activities.
